The range-topping models of the 2020 Porsche 718 Cayman and 718 Spyder are both getting a new engine — a 4.0-liter, naturally aspirated flat-six that produces 414 horsepower and 309 pounds-feet of torque. True to the brand’s roots, both models are only available with a six-speed manual transmission featuring downshift rev-matching — which can be turned off if you want to do your own throttle blipping.

The new engine has an 8,000-rpm redline and propels both models to 60 mph in a claimed 4.2 seconds; the Cayman GT4 will reach a 188-mph top speed, while the Spyder will hit 187. Porsche also says this Cayman GT4 is 10 seconds quicker around the Nurburgring Nordschleife than its predecessor.

Another nifty feature is Porsche Active Suspension Management with adaptive damping and a 1.18-inch lower ride height than other 718 models. Camber, toe, ride height and anti-roll bar settings are all manually adjustable, bringing the worlds of Gran Turismo and Forza into real life. Both cars have standard brakes adapted from the 911 GT3, and carbon-ceramic brakes are — of course — optional. A mechanical limited-slip differential is also standard.

Ollie Kew: The TechArt GTstreet RS is a Porsche 911 Turbo gone bonkers

RealAutoTips. - This is information for you from Porsche 911 car with the article that titled The TechArt GTstreet RS is a Porsche 911 Turbo gone bonkers that written by Ollie Kew and has published in Top Gear site.

As the ‘991’ family of Porsche 911s draws its last breath, the tuners are pulling out all the stops. Every last one of them. The ‘old’ 911 is not going to die quietly.

Porsche specialists TechArt have applied their very own blend of well, tech and art to the soon-to-die 911 Turbo S, and the result is the GTstreet RS. The specs are enough to make even the mighty GT2 RS cower in fear.

New turbos for the 3.8-litre flat-six pump power from 572bhp to an astonishing 759bhp. When it left the Porsche factory, the engine made 553lb ft of torque. After it leaves TechArt’s workshop, you’re looking at 679lb ft.

Even with clever four-wheel-drive and one of the fastest gearboxes in the business, you won’t notice the difference going from 0-62mph. That takes a whole 2.5 seconds – a mere 0.4sec quicker than Porsche’s claim for the standard car and only 0.1sec faster than Top Gear timed one.

Ciprian Florea: Next Generation Porsche 911Caught Camo Free

RealAutoTips. - This is information for you from Porsche 911 car with the article that titled with Next Generation Porsche 911Caught Camo Free that written by Ciprian Florea and published in Top Speed site.

The 992-generation Porsche 911 has yet to go public, but the German sports car is no longer a mystery as far as exterior design goes. Spotted numerous times without camo, the upcoming 911 just made a new appearance on public roads. And apart from thin strips of tape on the bumpers and taillights, the coupe is as clean as it goes.

Needless to say, the 992 911 is ready to go into production and to take its place on auto show floors. Obviously, the 911 remains familiar, but sports a few important upgrades. We can see a new front hood, upgraded headlamps, and new grilles on each side of the front bumper.

It also has wider rear fenders and really slim taillights that are based on the Panamera’s. Like 911 models from the 1990s, they’re linked by a red stripe with "Porsche" lettering.

2020 Porsche 911 Frantically Chases 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA in Nurburgring Test by Andrei Tutu

RealAutoTips. - This is information for you from Porsche 911 car with the article that titled with 2020 Porsche 911 Frantically Chases 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA in Nurburgring Test that written by Andrei Tutu and published in Autoevolution site.

The Nurburgring might be the longest racetrack in the world, but, sometimes, the Green Hell simply isn't long enough for a pair of prototypes. And with more and more manufacturers testing taking place on the Nordschleife these days, test car encounters have become the norm. Some of these involve machines of the same calibers, but this simply isn't the case with the duo we're here to discuss - we're talking about the 2020 Porsche 911 and the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA.

The Zuffenahusen machine happened to be on the trail of the three-pointer star four-door coupe as the latter negotiated the Brunnchen corner, as you'll notice in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page.

Speaking of the next-gen Neunelfer, we'll remind you that the Porscha was recently spotted fully naked, with a partially uncovered prototype revealing the posterior of the thing - this perfectly matched the styling cues showcased by a previously leaked image.

The most important novelty has to do with hybridisation, a move the German automaker has already confirmed, albeit without delivering further details.

Nevertheless, we're expecting the 911 to follow the example set by the Panamera and the Cayenne and offer two gas-electric models. The first should deliver Carrera S level of go, with a strong focus on efficiency. As for the second, this is expected to be the Turbo S E-Hybrid, a monster with about 700 hp.

2019 Porsche 911 Spied Undisguised by Scott Collie

RealAutoTips. - This is information for you from Porsche 911 car with the article that titled with 2019 Porsche 911 Spied Undisguised that written by Scott Collie and published in CarAdvice site.

The 2019 Porsche '992' 911 has been snapped without camouflage for the first time, revealing an evolutionary rear end in keeping with the new Panamera and 718 Cayman. Surprise surprise, right?

We already had an idea the new 911 would look similar to the current car, which itself looks similar to the car it replaces, which looks like... you get the idea. The rear-engined Porsche is part of the automotive furniture, and it didn't get that way through rapid year-on-year reinvention.

Slimmer, clear-lensed tail-lights are the main change, although the entire rear end appears squarer than we've previously seen from Porsche. With no badging, we're not sure if this is a base Carrera or a Carrera S, but the relatively central quad exhaust and diffuser suggest it could be a higher-spec car. Time will tell.

Porsche 911 Speedster Brings Its Retrolicious Body To Goodwood by Adrian Padeanu

RealAutoTips. - This is information for you from Porsche 911 car with the article that titled with Porsche 911 Speedster Brings Its Retrolicious Body To Goodwood that wrtten by Adrian Padeanu.

Porsche is putting on quite a show this weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed to celebrate 70 years since it’s been making sports cars. An important part of the festivities is represented by the 911 Speedster, which harkens back to the old days of the 356. It comes with a lightweight tonneau cover instead of the regular top, but that’s not what the makes the car special.

The Talbot-esque exterior mirror finished in chrome, the transparent and opaque surfaces of the headlights, and the double-bubble cover – these are some of the unique traits setting the Speedster apart from the regular 911s.

Porsche’s one-off celebrated its dynamic debut at the festival, flaunting the same two-tone GT Silver and White paint scheme like in the official shots from last month as a nod to the company’s early days of racing. Another important retro cue is represented by the 1950s-styled central fuel tank cap mounted in the middle of the front hood, while the number 70 on the doors is a reminder of what 2018 represents: the automaker’s seventieth birthday.

Technically a one-of-of car for the time being, the 911 Speedster could go into production, but it won’t happen until next year. Porsche has said it will make up its mind about launching a limited-run special edition in the months to come, and if approved, the car would go on sale at some point in 2019. We have a feeling it will be given the green light taking into account prototypes have been spotted lately testing at the N├╝rburgring.

Car Tips: 8 Ways to Breathe New Life into Your Old Ride

RealAutoTips. - In this season we will show you car tips on how to breathe new life into your car old ride using 8 ways. This tips come from the Gearpatrol site, show if you want to detail read it, you can visit these site.

1. Fresh Tires

If you want your car to handle better, the place to start is a good set of tires. Power and performance are good, but if you don’t have the grip from quality rubber to translate that to the road, it’s all for nothing.

2. New Spark Plugs

Spark plugs can be easy to overlook, but new, better spark plugs are an easy, affordable swap that can make all the difference.

3. Engine Control Unit (ECU) Flash

The ECU in your car is set up from the factory to control the fuel-air mixture in the engine, which maximizes efficiency and power.

4. Install a Cold-Air Intake

The better your car breathes, the better it runs. A cold-air intake not only frees up the air flow to your engine, it also feeds it cooler, more condensed air, which engines love.

5. Bolt In a High-Flow Exhaust

The exhaust may be the… erm… wastegate of your cars respiratory system, but a free-flowing exhaust relieves pressure on the engine and can return a little bump in horsepower as well.

6. Replace Your Bushings

Replacing bushings may be a little bit more involved, but you’ll be glad you did it. Between the suspension and the frame and the chassis and the engine, factory rubber bushings help kill vibrations throughout your car.

7. Install a Sway Bar

If your car leans too much through turns, all that weight transfer and body roll will kill your handling. Sway bars help keep that in check by connecting the right-side wheels with the left-side wheels, helping the car corner flat.

8. Install a Short Shifter

Short shifters are a pure performance add-on. They minimize the distance the shifter has to travel and thus the time it takes to select the next gear.

Night Blue Metallic Porsche 911 GT2 RS Has Nurburgring Record License Plate by Andrei Tutu

With Porsche having just dropped the official footage for the Nurburgring lap time of the 2019 911 GT3 RS, the Internet is boiling with discussing on this naturally aspirated matter. Nevertheless, there are also other topics involving Zuffenhausen and the Nurburgring that demand our attention and we've brought along an example including a 911 GT2 RS.

This is one of the test cars for the Paint to Sample 911 GT2 RS lineup, with the thing being dressed in Midnight Blue. We're looking at an understated color that mixes brilliantly with the aero-dictated aggressive exterior of the 700 hp Neunelfer.

Weissach Package, magnesium wheels finished in White Gold Metallic and plenty of red details that adorn both the exterior and the cabin of this 911 - there are plenty of details that ensure this German missile receives the attention it deserves.

Nevertheless, the license plate of the machine is just as enticing as its spec, with this talking about the Nurburgring chronograph number of the GT2 RS.

Keep in mind that the 6:47 lap of the Porsche means this is still the holder of the Green Hell production car record, even though there are multiple machines that might grab that title this year.
