Reported from DetikOto, (2017/02/12), that Honda in the United States has filed a new patent in the form of an automatic emergency braking system for motorcycles. The new patent was filed with the Patent and Trademark Office United States.

Automatic emergency braking system are already commonly used in the car. But this time Honda filed a patent system for motorcycles that have not been common.

This patents filed that describe a system that will brake the motor automatically when it detects the possibility of a frontal collision.

Honda already has a similar feature on several 2017 model car called the Collision Mitigation Braking System. In the car, the system uses a combination of wave radar and a camera to read the potential of a frontal collision. The possibility that system similar to those used on motorcycles.

When a potential collision sensor unreadable, the system will check whether motorists have started braking or not. If not, the automatic braking system provides additional braking while keeping the same ratio between the front brakes and rear brakes so it feels more natural to the driver.
