In order to secure a Porsche 911 GT3 RS in the early days, one had to be both patient and loaded. First, there was the wait for Porsche to make it happen, after which allocation limitations and too many buyers in the inner circle meant crazy premiums were sure to follow. Not everybody was ready to put up with that, despite the costs of a hardcore build.

Porsche's 911 Cup cars are very successful all over the world, but you can't drive them on the road, unless that road is called the Nurburgring. What you can do is take a regular PDK GT3, leave the air-conditioning and four-wheel steering right where they are, and crank up the 3.8 to 520 horsepower. It will still rev to 9000, thankfully. Such a tune also deserves a fully custom suspension, beefier brakes, an Akrapovi─Ź exhaust, a quick steering rack and Pirelli's stickiest road rubber. Oh, and a Cup wing. Because the RS' is for beginners.
