Porsche has been so busy setting lap records with the new 911 GT2 RS, that it has probably made everyone forget about another limited edition car that was released earlier this year. The 911 Turbo S Exclusive Edition was the post powerful model in the 911 range before the GT2 RS was revealed, but has since fallen behind in terms of hype. The Exclusive Edition is still a very rare car, with only 500 examples for the whole world. The German magazine, Sport Auto, has shown that there is still a reason to talk about this 911 model.

The Exclusive Edition gets a 27 horsepower bump over a standard Turbo S, for a total of 607 hp. Even with the added power, Porsche quoted performance figures that were pretty much identical to the standard car. However, Sport Auto learned that the Exclusive Edition may be faster than Porsche has led on.

In a top speed test, the car was able to hit 213 mph. According to Porsche’s website, the Turbo S Exclusive Edition should have the same top speed as the standard Turbo S, 205 mph. In this test, the car was actually able to best the quoted top speed of the GT2 RS, which is 211 mph. If the speedometer is to be believed, the Turbo S Exclusive Edition is the fastest 911 in the world right now.
